The wine the estate is built on. Pinot Noir from the two oldest blocks on the chalk, fermented in small open tanks and aged a year in seasoned oak before three in bottle.

At this age the youthful purple has resolved to a true ruby: the free anthocyanins have begun to bind to tannin, and the colour has walked a first step along the arc that this whole estate is named for.
